Signed Up 12WBT Round 1 2012

How pumped and excited I was to start 2012.  I went off to bed early on New Years Eve so I could have a solid night sleep before bringing in the New Year with a SMASH!! And I did - I smashed 836calories before 6am!!

Determined I was to set a solid foundation for my next stage of transforming my body and my mindset.  6 days in and I was going for gold - daily workouts and eating clean was all a go with a Calorie Deficit each day shining a light on the pages of my food diary.

My Plan: to shed the 1.3kg I put on over Christmas and attack each day to get to my Pre-Season weight goal of 60kg by staying within my 1200cal intake, tracked in my food diary and hitting the gym 6 days a week.

2.7kg to go - well within my reach!! right??.....

The Fallout: RED FLAG DAYS ALERT!! They were diarised, they were planned for

Fri 6th Jan Celebration Dinner for my Best Friend's Wedding Anniversary - Order styfry an NO dessert
Sat 7th Mum's Birthday - NO Cake!!

Well there was no stirfry - there was pizza & icecream and there was no cake but there was trifle.... before I knew it there were 4 days in my diary with a blank food diary and a Calorie Balance that I'm sure was in surplus with nil exercise.

My big plan this year was to follow the "Lean and Strong" Program I had printed last round and do it all myself, staying close to the facebook page to feel connected and weigh in Wednesdays and follow along as best I could from the outside........ but already I feel like I'm struggling to make it alone.  So I re-joined 12WBT this morning to go for gold FOR REAL this round.

I had been thinking "Should I?" "Shouldn't I?" and then Michelle Bridges herself wrote me this on the Facebook page when I put the question to the masses:

"Kate.......it's completely up to you which way you want to go, some members even skip a round and then come back, but if you're a woman on a mission why not set yourself up for complete success? Hugs Mish xx"

So that's what I've decided to do - set myself up for Complete Success - I can do this!!

Just watch me!!

  1. "If you're a woman on a mission why not set yourself up for complete success?"--ONE HELL OF A QUOTE! I am so going to print this out and paste it on my fridge! I had been wondering the same. Round 3 2011 was my first round and I smashed all my fitness and weight loss goals, then I thought I could just continue on my own... gave it a few sleeps... then thought: nah, I need to challenge myself, go further and to do that I have to enlist all the help I can get, including get Mish back as my PT :) So here's to a successful round for both of us!
